Description: Humans are among the most common races in Ethalia. You will see humans come from all walks of life, from the high noble, to the humble farmer. They are the most versatile of the peoples of Ethalia and can accomplish whatever they put their minds to. Minimum costume requirements: No special costuming requirements are needed to play this race.
Description: Orcs are a very tightly knit group. If you are an orc, then every other orc will treat you as a family member, even if you aren’t related by blood. Just like a family, they don’t always get along with each other, but it’s rare for an Orc to betray its own kind. Additionally, they are known for their incredible physical strength. Minimum costume requirements: All exposed skin should be a shade of green or gray. Suggested costume ideas: Fangs/Tusks etc.
Description: Goblins are a mostly secretive group that aren't generally comfortable interacting with the other races, with the exception of Orcs. They can feel threatened by outsiders, but some are coming to feel more at ease in the presence of others. Goblins have a predisposition for magic that makes up for their under average physical capabilities. Minimum costume requirements: All exposed skin should be a shade of green or gray. Suggested costume ideas: Long fingernails, pointed teeth
Description: Dwarves are the hardiest folk in Ethalia. Their people take pleasure in crafting strong and durable things. Their bodies are tough as well and they are known for being able to withstand much stronger forces than most others. Minimum costume requirements: All dwarves wear a full beard. If you have a natural full beard, that can count instead of a fake one.
Description: Elves are nearly as common as Humans and share similar roots. While Humans are extremely varied, Elves are more drawn to the magical arts. They have special talents in casting spells as well as healing. Elves prefer the finer things in life, but aren’t above doing some honest work to earn it. Minimum costume requirements: Prosthetic pointed ears.
Description: The race of Fae appears mostly human, but with elements of nature woven into their being. You might see a plant growing out of their skin, or another part of their body being made of stone. Minimum costume requirements: Somehow nature must be incorporated into your costuming.
Description: Wyrmkin: The race of wyrmkin claim to be descended from the great Wyrms. Though many of them do appear like the ancient monsters, there are also many of their kind who appear more lizard like than monster-like. Not much else is known about their race. Minimum costume requirements: Your skin should be covered in scales, or you can wear a mask that makes you appear dragon or lizard-like.
Description: The beastkin are more of a clade than a race. They all appear as humanoid, but with obvious characteristics of an animal. For example, one tribe of beastkin may be humanoid ravens, while another might be wolf-like. Beastkin generally live in groups of their own kind, but have no difficulty interacting with any of the other races. The abilities of the beastkin are varied and usually align with the type of animal they represent. Minimum costume requirements: Some part of your chosen animal. It could be fur or feathers or any other beast like animal. Your character needs to appear as animal as possible.
