The Beastkin appear to be as old as Vespirian itself. Nearly all the legends contain some reference to them in one form or another. Though they share many similarities, each group has a distinct culture and physical appearance. Most Beastkin are part of a tribe with others who share their same features. For example, a tribe may consist of mostly those with wolf features, while another group may look like ravens. Though it is unusual for a tribe to contain a mix of different animal types, such a thing isn't unheard of. Because this race is so diverse we will describe the groups we know the most about:
Revaki: The Revaki are a rat like clan hailing from a place called the Great Stump and worship a diety they call the "Great Horned Rat". Based on some reports, they are likely the most numerous of any group of Beastkin. However, they are mostly a reclusive group, preferring to remain in their underground tunnels rather than interact with surface dwellers. Despite this, there are a few members of this group that have made their way to Exalos.
Saytr: The Saytrs look mostly like a human does, but with furry legs and horns. They are a mostly nomadic group, preferring to travel alone or in small groups. Even still, they love the company of others to share tales and songs. Their nomadic nature seems to come from an all consuming wanderlust and desire to see something new. Even though they rarely see much of others of their kind, they are fiercely loyal to their kin an those they call friends.
