The factions of Exalos all hail from Ethalia, though they have begun to recruit members from the other side of the portal as well. Each faction accepts members from all kinds of backgrounds. Soldiers, merchants, healers, and mages all find a way to be useful in thier own way. Each faction has its own differing goals and beliefs that sometimes bring them into conflict and sometimes force them to work together. In this new land, far away from the oversight of the king, anything can happen.
Factions can gain up to 5 reputation points per event based on how well they fulfill their objective for that event. Reputation points are to be spent by the faction in between events. Any items or goods they receive will be given to them at the start of the next event. Reputation points carry over indefinitely with no limit on how many they can accumulate.

Formerly a large mercenary group that was hired by the king of Ethalia to be a part of his conquering force. Their prowess in battle and tactical expertise were augmented by regular shipments of rations and weapons to make them more than they could ever be as simple mercenaries. They were hired repeatedly until they eventually just became a major part of the royal army.
Though the Order itself is loyal to the crown, many members and leadership in the Order retain a memory of their less lawful days and still seek for individual profit. Others, usually newer members of the order, are strictly loyal to the crown and filled with patriotism. The King seems to know of this divide however as he has never promoted someone from the Order to the Crownguard. A fact of which certain members of this faction are well aware.

Forge Patches: 1 point per 3 forge patches. Forge patches work similarly to bandages. They can be applied once to each armored location. They repair 1 point of armor.
