Leyspring

From Stargazer's History

In the quiet expanse of Vespirian, there exist but three nexuses where the world’s hidden arteries converge into what scholars call the Leysprings. These singular sites are places of formidable power, positioned at equal distances from the eternal spires of Astel to anchor the delicate balance of the Shifts. Where a Leyspring forms, the veil between our world and the domain of an Archfey thins to near nothingness. Yet, they are not sanctuaries for the curious. Each spring is guarded by treacherous trials, conceived by the sovereign Archfey who rules it, ensuring that only those who embody their aspects will ever stand before the waters.

To those few travelers who survive the journey and reach the spring, a boon is extended. Let the seeker beware, for the offer itself is the final and most dangerous test; a misplaced wish or an arrogant request will end a life as swiftly as any blade. True boons are granted with exceeding rarity. I cannot chronicle every hardship that awaits within those mist-shrouded hollows. I can speak only of the singular trial I endured, and the solemn burden of immortality I carried away from its shores.
